JAYDE {Wyckyd}


Jayde, as it currently calls itself, is one of the clan known as the Wyckyd. These children of Bhavani are the most unstable of all Darkelings, almost on par with ruinlings for violence and mindless actions. Usually quite insane, sadistic, destructive, and with voracious sexual appetites, they are scorned by the other clans, hated and despised. With good cause. Jayde is the most stable of all it's siblings, able to at least function normally in society where it is often employed as a bodyguard or mercenary. Wyckyd are particularly strong, crafty, cunning, and born fighters.

None of them can speak or receive mindspeech, as they are not balanced enough. None wield magick and in fact look down on those who do, though out of all the clans, they make the strongest wielders. They also have the juxtaposition of being all but impervious to magick, Light or Darke, save the most powerful. Those will hurt, but that is all. Brute strength and incredible skill are needed to defeat these Darkelings. Wyckyd have the bloodgift of switching sexes at will, which makes it nearly impossible to keep track of their numbers. They are also the most skilled and gifted of the clans in shapeshifting. Wyckyd hate all other clans and actively seek to destroy them.

Jayde has a particular grudge against Graal's clan, through Chalyss, whom it has fought before. Unpredictable, these Darkelings are the most abhorred and feared even among their own kind. Jayde is several hundred years old, and has killed possibly thousands in cold blood, having no compunctions about doing so... and often for enjoyment. Jayde is the most dangerous because of her control... vicious and calculating. She knows the others' weaknesses and won't hesitate to exploit them. She searches now for vengeance on Chalyss and has a particular item to insure her success. The Wyckyd have the same strengths and weaknesses as all darklings, for the most part... healing, agility, physical powers, shapeshifting, command over weaker demons, slight elemental control, speaking in tongues, and taking strength from souls released. The berserker fury of the Wyckyd, the fact they never need sleep, and their own bloodgifts make them truly fearsome above all others.
